How to Post a Position
All current dues paying individual and institutional members are encouraged to post available curatorial positions at no cost to the institution.  If you are an individual member, please log into the member's area to ensure that you are up-to-date with your dues prior to posting a position.  If you are an institutional member, please click here to determine if your institutional dues are current (noted by years of support column).

If your institution is not an AAMC member or if you are not affiliated with a museum, please click here for more information about becoming an institutional member or see below for our ad rates and instructions for submitting a position. 


General Information

  • To be listed, jobs must be curatorial-related museum positions including full or part-time positions, fellowships, research  positions or internships. The AAMC does not post positions that are administrative in nature.  The AAMC does not positions at private or commercial galleries.

  • Classified ad rates: All individual and institutional members may post curatorial positions free of charge by logging into their member accounts and selecting "Post a Job" under member optionsFor non-members, please email the AAMC by clicking here and include your announcement and note that billing (via credit card or invoice) adheres to the following rates:  4 weeks or less ($100), 31-90 days ($150), 90 days or more ($250)

  • Payments may be made with a credit card (American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Discover cards accepted) or by invoice. All credit card payments are made through a secure payment web site. If you do not have a credit card, please skip to the "Options for Payment" section below.  To pay by credit card, please click here

  • New job listings are posted on AAMC's web site in 3-5 business days, usually sooner.

  • All sales are final; postings removed prior to expiration date will not be refunded.

If you do not have a credit card to make payments online, you may still submit a listing to AAMC's Career Center. Please click here to email the AAMC and receive an invoice to be submitted for payment.

Making Changes to a Listing
If you would like to make changes to a listing you have already submitted, or if you notice errors in a listing that has already been posted on the web site, please email your edits by clicking here DO NOT CALL THE AAMC!
