MENTORSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN
The Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC) is delighted to announce that the Mentorship Program applications are now open. Applications are due no later than January 8, 2016.
The AAMC Mentorship Program, launched in September 2012, reinforces the organization’s mission to foster the professional development of curators at all levels. Each year, approximately five to eight sets of established, senior curators (mentors) and emerging to mid-career curators (mentees) embark on the 12-month program. Mentorship pairings are selected by AAMC and the Career Support Committee and applicants are notified in February.
The Program runs from May 2016 - May 2017, culminating in an alumni reception at the AAMC Annual Conference each May.
Program benefits include a travel stipend to meet at mentors’ and/or mentees’ institutions, a stipend for mentors participating in the program, and webinars addressing professional development.

Application Process Each mentor/mentee is required to submit a C.V., mission statement, and questionnaire about interests, goals, and experience. Applications are accepted from AAMC members in curatorial positions. Curators in all fields and disciplines may apply.
All application material is due no later than January 8, 2016.
This program is generously supported in part by funding provided by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation (EHTF) and the AAMC President's Circle.
