AAMC & AAMC FOUNDATION ANNUAL
CONFERENCE & MEETING
May 6 - 9, 2017
New York City
The Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC) & AAMC Foundation 2017 Annual Conference & Meeting, scheduled for May 6-9, 2017, New York City, is a robust and varied program. Building on our 15th Anniversary Conference & Meeting in Houston last May, we will expand upon our forward momentum by addressing topics of inclusion and access in all aspects of the Conference’s programming.
For this Conference we are changing all our content based programming, including our panel sessions, to a model of an exchange of ideas, we are fostering open session dialogues throughout all our content creating a community colloquium over a lecture format. It is with great honor that we share the two Keynote Dialogues to be held during the Conference: Keynote Dialogue with Monica O. Montgomery, Founding Director & Curator, Museum of Impact, and Tanya M. Odom, Global Diversity & Inclusion & Education Consultant & Executive Coach on Monday, May 8; and Keynote Dialogue with Hank Willis Thomas, Artist, and Deborah Willis, University Professor & Chair of the Department of Photography & Imaging, Tisch School of the Arts, New York University on Tuesday, May 9.
