Dear AAMC Members,

As President of the Association of Art Museum Curators and the AAMC Foundation, I write to announce that the 2014 Museum Compensation Review Information is now available on artcurators.org.  We are grateful to the AAMD for sharing their 2014 Salary Survey, on which our report is based.

The Compensation Review Information is a valuable benefit of membership, and as such is accessible only to current members.  We request that you keep the information confidential, and not share it with non-AAMC Members.

AAMC and the AAMC Foundation remain dedicated to the curatorial field, which we express through professional development and career building activities, such as the Annual Conference & Meeting, Webinars, Mentorship Program; awards such as the Award of Excellence, ADAA Research & Development Grants, Kress/AAMC Fellowship at the AAR, and Travel Grants; and promotion of the field, such as this Museum Compensation Review. We hope the information contained herein will be of service as you negotiate your own salary and those who work with you.

As we look ahead to the future, AAMC will continue to provide and develop those important and valued benefits that increase our professionalism and bring attention to our achievements as art curators.

Sincerely,

Emily Ballew Neff
AAMC President
Wylodean and Bill Saxon Director and Chief Curator
Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art
