ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting, open to all members, fosters the profession's cohesiveness by addressing issues of national relevance, by assisting in professional development, and by promoting dialogue and exchange among curators. To date, there have been six annual meetings, with an average attendance of 225- 250 curators each year.
The 2008 Annual Meeting of the AAMC will be held in Los Angeles, CA from May 11-13th. For more information, please check back later in the year.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCES, RECEPTIONS AND OTHER AAMC PANEL DISCUSSIONS
Professional development conferences, receptions and other AAMC panel discussions provide members with opportunities for professional development and networking. They also allow the AAMC to reach out to members and affiliated museum professionals outside of the Annual Meeting.

Session Title: What Makes a Collector a Philanthropist? Lessons from the Miracle in Dallas.
Session Description: The Dallas Museum of Art has a remarkable group of trustee collectors who have recently made exceptional commitments to enhancing the museum's collections—from Impressionism and Modernism to the latest in Contemporary Art. A panel of museum professionals and benefactors will discuss the dynamics of the relationship between the curator and the collector—which has yielded such impressive results in Dallas.
