Individual membership is open to art curators at non-profit organizations, regardless of geographic location. We believe curators are ambassadors of the art, artists, cultures and organizations that they serve, and present, interpret, and safeguard works of art, using their expertise and upholding professional and ethical standards. Locally and globally, curators create compelling experiences of art, culture, and creativity that change how people understand themselves and the world by stimulating new perspectives, ideas, and feelings.

Sustaining Membership:  Premier Membership Group, curators supporting curators.
At this level, you are directly supporting AAMC and its work to further the profession, as well as gaining exclusive access and benefits. Sustaining Members are the most visible advocates for the profession and AAMC’s mission. In acknowledgment of their generosity and leadership, Sustaining Members receive exclusive access beyond that of general membership. Gifts at this level provide critical support to the organization.

All individual membership levels are open to art curators at non-profit organizations, regardless of geographic location, with direct responsibility for works of art. In addition, curators and others that work a minimum of 50% of the time for/with non-profit organizations are welcome to apply for membership and are asked to submit additional review material.

 

AAMC Foundation institutional members contribute to the organization by providing the central funding we need to continue our programming each year. We are confident that the growth of the AAMC Foundation will continue to reflect the support and desire of museum directors across the country to see the curatorial profession flourish and serve both our institutions and the larger museum community. Our sliding scale dues structure is based on an institution’s budget.
