for 2017 Annual Conference & Meeting

AAMC & AAMC Foundation Annual Conference & Meeting  
May 6 - 9, 2017, New York City 

AAMC members are invited to submit Panel & Workshop proposals for the AAMC & AAMC Foundation 2017 Annual Conference & Meeting in New York City. Proposals should address topics pertinent to the range of fields, institutions, career stages, and overall breath of the curatorial profession and museum community. 

As with all AAMC & AAMC Foundation programming and overall efforts, proposals should strive to be representative of diversity across self-identifications (by nation, gender, creed, race), fields of expertise, types of institutional mission, and regional position, and of participants. The more diverse our voices, the more dynamic our offerings. 

In addition, we welcome proposals that support a discussion model of presentation, utilizing case studies and open dialogue over presenting formal papers. 

Proposal Process 
The Conference Committee and the AAMC Executive Director oversee the selection process with the final decisions made and approved by the AAMC Executive Committee. The Conference Committee's selection process will be guided by the strength of the proposals and the need to create a balance between topics relevant to curators from a wide range of institutions and specializations. Conference proposals are subject to modification by AAMC, the Executive Committee, the Diversity Task Force and/or the Conference Committee as part of the process of shaping the overall Conference program.
